Senior Automotive Technician (A-Level Tech) - Auto Allies

Position Overview:
We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Automotive Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who can confidently diagnose complex issues, perform advanced repairs, and lead by example in both productivity and professionalism.

Qualifications:
  •  5+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
  •  Strong diagnostic ability (electrical and drivability required).
  •  ASE Certifications (preferred, not required but highly valued). 
  •  Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. 
  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Diagnostics & Repair:
  •  Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately and efficiently. 
  •  Perform advanced repairs including engine, transmission, drivability, and electrical systems. 
  •  Interpret scan tool data, wiring diagrams, and technical service information. 

General Service & Maintenance:
  •  Complete high-quality repairs on brakes, suspension, steering, and cooling systems.
  •  Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, fluid services, filters, etc.) as needed. 
  •  Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards.
 
Shop Leadership & Support:
  •  Mentor and assist junior technicians.
  •  Help improve shop workflow and efficiency. 
  •  Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and recommendations.

Digital Inspections & Documentation:
  •  Complete detailed Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) with photos and notes.
  •  Clearly document diagnostics, findings, and repair steps. 
  •  Maintain accurate time tracking and job updates.
 
Quality & Safety:
  •  Follow all shop safety procedures.
  •  Ensure repairs are done right the first time. 
  •  Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Preferred Skills:
  •  Experience with modern diagnostic tools and software.
  •  Strong understanding of electrical systems and CAN networks. 
  •  Leadership or mentoring experience. 
  •  High level of efficiency and time management.

Schedule:
  • Monday – Friday.
  • Typical hours: 7:50 AM – 4:50 PM.
