Skilled Automotive Technician - Auto Allies

Position Overview:
At Auto Allies, the skilled auto tech performs routine maintenance and general repairs (brakes, suspension, steering, light mechanical work), completes DVIs, and documents work accurately. This role supports shop flow while continuing to build diagnostic skills toward advancement.

Qualifications:
  •  3+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
  •  Strong foundation in general repair (brakes, suspension, steering, maintenance services).
  •  Basic diagnostic skills using scan tools and testing procedures.
  •  Ability to work independently on assigned jobs.
  •  Valid driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities:
 
General Repair & Maintenance:
  •  Perform routine maintenance services (oil changes, fluid services, filters, etc.).
  •  Complete brake, steering, suspension, and cooling system repairs.
  •  Handle light to moderate mechanical repairs across most makes and models.
  •  Ensure vehicles are repaired correctly, safely, and efficiently.

Diagnostics & Problem Solving (Growing Skill Set):
  •  Perform basic to intermediate diagnostics on drivability concerns.
  •  Use scan tools and test procedures to identify issues (with support as needed).
  •  Learn and grow into electrical and advanced diagnostic work.
  •  Communicate findings clearly to senior techs and service advisors.

Digital Inspections & Documentation:
  •  Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (photos, notes, recommendations).
  •  Accurately document work performed and findings.
  •  Help maintain clear communication between shop and front office.

Shop Support & Teamwork:
  •  Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
  •  Work closely with senior technicians when needed.
  •  Stay productive and support overall shop flow.
  •  Follow processes and contribute to a team-first environment.

Pay & Benefits:
  • $20–$40/hour (based on experience and skill level).

Schedule: Monday – Friday.
Typical hours: 7:50 AM – 4:50 PM.
